First Council Meeting Councillors Make Commitments
GAN-Net's Global Council met for the first time in Berlin in October. The meeting clarified the role of the Council, refined the concept of what being a GAN involves, focused priorities, and produced individual commitments by Councillors to support GAN-Net.

ICoP: To Identify Value, Increase Learning and Improve Accountability
By all accounts, the Impacts Community of Practice is a resounding success. David Bonbright, Executive Director of Keystone and Co-Lead Steward of ICoP, clearly stated that the goals of ICoP "are to substantially empower GANs to identify the tremendous value they are generating in the world, increase their ability to learn from their impact evaluations, and improve their accountability mechanisms to their wide range of constituencies."

K&LCoP: Launch of Knowledge and Learning CoP

GAN-Net's mission is to strengthen the capacity of multi-sector, global networks to address urgent sustainability issues - social, economic, and environmental. Our strategy is to do this by coordinating events that connect leaders in the field and promote learning, innovation, and attention to what GANs are accomplishing worldwide on a range of crucial issues. GAN-Net works with GANs to increase their legitimacy, improve their results and build their capacity.
